This is a small 12mm continuous beep buzzer. It's convenient because it doesn't require an amplifier and can be directly driven by a digital I/O pin on any microcontroller. The buzzer emits a beep when 5 volts are applied. It's commonly used in RFID systems to provide an alert when a card is successfully scanned.
