The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor is an affordable and reliable option for distance measurement and object detection. It provides accurate and stable readings using sonar technology, making it unaffected by light and surface color. It operates with two digital I/O pins (one for output, one for input) and is ideal for various applications. However, it may struggle to detect soft materials like clothes.
